This weaving was created to explore the color variations that could be achieved by the interaction between three different color warp and weft sections.  This project was one of my first attempts to create a visual illusion through woven design.  I attempted to create this effect by using a basket weave variation.
This wall tapestry was woven with 8/8 cotton yarns.  The colors that were chosen for the warp were green, orange, and blue.  The colors that were chosen for the weft were blue, orange, and yellow.  I chose these colors because I thought that they would interact well and I believed that they would create an interesting visual effect.
 In the photos above you can see the beginning stages of the process to create this weaving.  You can see the tri-colored warp and the different yarns that I experimented with.
